Kiev
Kreschatik street is the main and the most popular street of Kiev. Actually Kiev is known mostly due to Kreaschatik. It crosses the Starokyivsky and Pechersk administrative parts of the city and connects European and Bessarab Squares.
Chestnuts are the integral characteristic of the Ukrainian capital and Kreschatik in particular. If you visit Kiev you can't help visiting it.

Kievo-Pecherska Lavra is one of the most ancient monasteries all over the country. A nine-hundred-year-old building is considered an honorable title, which is given to the monasteries of extra-size and special religious importance. Kievo-Pecherskaya Lavra still preserves the caves in which several monks founded a monastery many centuries ago.

St. Sophia's is the highlight of Kiev and a national treasure of Ukraine. It was built in the first half of the 11th century to commemorate the victory over the Pecheneg tribe. You can see portraits painted by unknown painters of the past, can read frescoes on the walls (the 11th century) - people's requests to God, great mosaics. The cathedral preserves a sarcophagus with the remains of Prince Volodymyr. St Sophia is rightfully considered as the treasure of Ukraine and is protected by UNESCO. Admission fee - from UAH 15.

The Museum of Ukrainian Fine Arts (1897-1899) was built in the style of a Greek temple with a 6-column portico designed by Kiev architects V. Horodetsky and H. Boytsov. The museum's 21 galleries contain valuable collections, unknown in the Western Europe or USA. The museum houses Ukrainian icons, paintings, and sculpture from the 14th to early 20th centuries. It is famous by works of T. Shevchenko, K. Kostandi, H. Narbut Open daily, 10 AM - 5 PM, closed Friday. Welcome to the Museum!

Hydro park is located on island Peredmestnaya Slobodka. In summertime it is a favorite place for Kiev citizens. You should certainly visit it when in Kiev.

National Opera of Ukraine (1901) is the theater, which was the first to stage classical operas translated into Ukrainian. Much of the theater's creative efforts are concentrated on productions of classical Ukrainian and Russian operas; however, a great variety of classical and modern plays are performed here, with actors singing both in Ukrainian and the original languages. In addition to the memorable performances in various countries all over the world the building itself is majestic. Location: vul. Volodimirska, 50. Plunge into the world of art!

Lviv

St. Yura Cathedral is one of the most famous places of Western Ukrainian Capital It was built in 1740-1770 by architect B. Meretin The cathedral is the main church of Ukrainian Greco-Catholics. Baroque Taste makes the building gorgeous and majestic. On Easter and Christmas night religious services are conducted and broadcasted.

The Theatre of Opera and Ballet is one of the main places of interest that should be visited first. Theatrical season is always saturated. Talented actors and signers, wonderful performance in several languages of the world, Majestic atmosphere of art.

All the city guests are eager to visit Ploshcha Rynok. During 6 centuries it was political, economical and cultural center of the city. There were City Council, palaces of notable citizens. It was also the place for trade, court, and punishment. Every building here is connected with some famous persons, has its own history.
Here the first chemistry shop was build, today this chemistry is considered to be partially museum.
In general this market square is the place that was touched by centuries more than any other place in Lviv. Don't you think it's worth visiting?

Dnipropetrovsk

Chkalova Park is the place where one cannot only have a rest and to sit on the bench under the shadows of the threes at the alleys, but also to entertain with your friends, family, and children. The park is often used as a place for ceremonies, holidays, fairs and other actions. Discover by yourself lush greenery and peacefulness of the park.

Among the city streets we would like to stress The Karl Marx Prospekt. There are plenty of shops and cafes of different sizes and for different income levels. The abundance of trade points can be observed also in several streets and squares contiguous to the Karl Marx Prospekt in the area around the Central Department Store (TSUM) - the biggest market place in the city. If you want to buy souvenirs, the best site for this is Exhibition on the boulevard across from TSUM.

Dnipropetrovsk has the history and particular culture which should be certainly submitted to tourists' attention. The museums and exhibition halls are always open for you. The largest and most popular is the Historical Museum named by Dmitry Yavornitsky. The Museum of Art has quite a good collection of pictures representing different styles and epoch. You should visit at least one of such places to learn about the city you have come to.

The city is full of foreign guests all around the year. There are a lot of hotels for their needs. One of them, "Astoria" is quite new. It is a small, private hotel in the center of Dnepropetrovsk.
The hotel offers a cafe, bar and sauna. The restaurant serves European, Russian and Jewish cuisine.All hotels have mini bar, SAT TV, air conditioning, refrigerator and telephone.

Practically every city has a circus but talking about Dnipropetrovsk this integral attribute should be mentioned particularly. First of all, the architecture of the building catches the eye. Second, the circus is located in the region of the Dnieper Quay which is itself is very beautiful. The quay opens the view on the huge bridges of the town. In general The Dnieper River itself with its picturesque banks won't keep you indifferent.

Krim

The Crimea is a wonderful peninsular in the South of Ukraine. The Crimea is famous for its vast wild steppes and high cliffs, the orchards and dead saline soils, plantations of roses and snow in the mountains. The whole Crimea also happens to be a unique historical-cultural preserve.It boasts many historical and architectural monuments: cave towns and monasteries in the mountains, remnants of the Greek colonies and Roman settlements in Sevastopol and Kerch, Livadia architectural ensemble with its Great Palace, the Vorontsov Palace in Alupka, etc. No need to enumerate all the places. You shoulsd visit them.

The reserve "Chersonesos" covers the territory of the ancient Greek town of Chersonesos Tauric which emerged in the 5th c. B.C. on the Black Sea coast. Near Sevastopol. This city-state an important political and cultural centre of the Black Sea ukrion. Up till to-day multiple ancient structures have survived including: Acropolis and an "agora" (place of public meetings), Hellenic theatre, Roman Citadel, etc. Among the archaeological finds are the oath of the Chersonesos citizens, decrees, wall paintings, slate icons from the Christian churches etc. You mustn't skip the chance to visit it.

Crimean nature is very diverse. Waterfalls, Forests, valleys, mountains, flowers, plains etc. One of the most popular waterfalls among tourists is Dzhur-Dzhur. The waterfall is 12 or 15 meters high. The water is always clean and extremely cold. Dzhur-dzhur is situated on the river Ulu-Uzen', where you can practically see all-the-year-round flow of tourists eager to admire the beauty the nature gifted this waterfall.

Nikitsky Botanical Garden is the oldest scientific organization of the Crimea. It was founded in 1812 by the eminent botanist Ch. Steven. The garden collection includes almost 30 thousand of plant species. The beautiful and striking green alleys receives more than 700 thousand guests from all over the world every year. The experienced guides welcome warmly those who wish to discover incredible nature masterpiece. We strongly recommend you to visit the Garden.

Most Tourists know the Crimea by the city Yalta. Nothing strange, it is the most beautiful and interesting resort of the peninsula with majestic hotels for tourists and fascinating views on the Black Sea.
